September 2022 saw the retirement of a loyal 146-100 following 22 years of service with Avalon Aero’s longest-standing customer. Throughout, Avalon Aero provided line and base maintenance plus, over the last 5 years, we also managed and crewed the entire operation in a fully turnkey solution that accumulated almost 1,200 flying hours and the carriage of over 16,000 passengers without dropping a single flight. Notably, these operations also covered the COVID pandemic where, operating from the start, we flew over twice the anticipated hours in both 2020 and 2021, providing the flexibility needed for our customer to fulfil their rapidly evolving programme.

Throughout our association, this 146 proved itself a dependable workhorse, operating into both major international airports and small private fields without favour, thereby permitting the most efficient routes possible. But, above all, the aircraft will be remembered as being loved by the owners, the passengers, the maintainers and the crew alike. A beautiful and faithful old friend!
